The first Might and Magic game, Might and Magic Book One: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum, was programmed by Jon Van Caneghem for over a three-year period ending in 1986. citation needed Released for the Apple II on June 1, 1986, with ports for the Commodore 64, classic Mac OS, and MS-DOS following a year later, the game was successful enough to warrant a sequel, Might and Magic II: Gates. Mac App Store is the simplest way to find and download apps for your Mac. To download apps from the Mac App Store, you need a Mac with OS X 10.6.6 or later.
Strategic Conquest is a turn-based strategy game based on the wargame Empire. It was written by Peter Merrill for the Apple Macintosh and released in 1984 by PBI Software, and later ported to the Apple II in 1986. Delta Tao Software took over distribution for later Classic Mac OS releases. It is sometimes shortened to Stratcon. Desktop Destroyer is an entertaining and 'stress-reducing' game for Mac OS X that enables you to nuke your desktop using various weapons. Desktop Destroyer is designed to help you blow off some.
Apple replaced the Mac 512K with a model supporting double-sided 3.5″ disks, just like the Mac Plus. Unlike the Plus, the 512Ke used RAM chips rather than SIMMs, just like the 128K and 512K. This precluded upgrading RAM beyond 512 KB by simply plugging in higher capacity chips, although some companies did make memory upgrade kits for the 512Ke.
The 512Ke and Mac Plus were the last Macs not to use ADB ports for the keyboard and mouse – and the first to use mini DIN-8 serial ports.
Except for the name on the front, the 512Ke looks just like the Mac Plus pictured here. The biggest differences were the amount and type of RAM and the lack of a SCSI port on the 512Ke.
